The data collection module (MDC - machine data collection) is used for collecting machine (MDC) and operating data (ODC) in real-time.
Machine- and production-related data are made available online. According to the design, manufacturer, and machine control, data collection takes place through industrial communication systems and automation modules.
The module records machine, status, and process data and visualizes the status in the plant viewer. It ensures a permanent target/actual comparison of data collected with production specifications. Malfunctions of machines are more quickly recognized, infringements of warning limits and weak points in production can be localized through data base evaluations. Your production will be permanently monitored (24/7). Reliable key data with regard to overall equipment effectivity (O.E.E.) and key performance indicators (KPIs) will be automatically provided. The retraceability of production processes is thus guaranteed.
Manual input from production relating to production jobs or to machines will be recorded through integrated operating data collection (ODC). Feedback on the reason of downtimes, the quantity of and reason for waste, job communication and personnel log-on can be recorded and evaluated through easy operator dialogues. Industrial and standard PCs, mobile scanners, and operator panels can be optionally used for feedback.
